(America’s Journal of Nutrition 2006).
Among the numerous berries (strawberry, blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, açai berry, blackcurrant, etc), blackberry has properties so unique that it is designated as the “King of Berries” or the ”Berry of the King.” Selected as the 10 Superfoods in ”Times, 41 Superfoods, 2014,” blackberry is one of the 10 superfoods in cancer prevention, and is known for its antioxidant properties and various functions. In particular, the rich concentration of anthocyanin, which has excellent antioxidant power, promotes various health and functional effects such as vision improvement, prevention of cancer, heart diseases, and urinary tract infection, as well as anti-aging properties such as improvement in memory and athletic performance.
